*Do you think "teaching English Through English" is necessary in public school english class? Give us your opinion and supporting reasons.
we need to ground our education curriculum upon reality.I think teaching English through English is too ideastic to apply TETE in real-class. Because English abilities among students are various, there is a chance to stretch the gap among students. Most of all, only English input isn't help in improving student's English skills. We should include opportunities to let students speak in English, but there are too many students, about 40,in a class. If there is no Englisn output, TETE has become useless, I think.
*Which English teachers do you think is better for our students, native speakers of English, or Korean English teachers? Why?
I think both are required to improve student's English ability. So schools should hire native teachers in every school in the city. Of course, maintaining the existing system to pick teachers, the Education Ministry let native teachers keep pace with them because teachers should be responsible for instructing student more easily and effectively, native speakers have limits.
*How do you think will our English class be changed in the future? How do you ( as 사범대생) prepare for future English education in Korea?
I'm sure English curriculum will be changed more practical in the future. Maybe schools are not just concentrating on KSAT, but include speaking and writing in English. So I must speak English well as well as understand an English-speaking culture.

What is your study goal for this year? Is English a part of your goal? What do you plan to achieve your goal?

My most important study goal is improving my English ability. Especially, I will focus on writing and speaking. I realized my English is poor and passing a teacher certification examination is really hard. So, I shouln't waste my time anymore. I know "Time and tide wait for no man."
In this year, I'll improving my English skills enough to express my thought in writing freely and ask a native proffesor something naturally. Sometimes I feel overburdened due to my English. when I have something to say to a native proffesor, I would alway think for a long time what I'll say. Also, I have a plan to take a trip to Newyork! My close older friend, jin has been to Newyork and then uproaded her pictures in Nework on her blog. It stimulated me to go there. I really envied her and resolved to go Newyork. In summer, I'm going to make money to go there! And In next semester, I'd like to join a club to volunteer or take a exercise.
I hope to be Englsih teacher. English is very important part of my goal. But almost students who are not involved Englsih, such as student majored in engineering and science are really good at English. Englsih is considered essential nowadays. futhermore, teacher certification examination's competition rate is about one out of thirty. I think to myself constantly, 'Will I do well?'... But I'm only 20, and there is no need to give up early. I set up a ten-year plan for my future. First, most important goal in this year is having an impressively diverse range of interests and experience. Because I think that to be an good teacher, I need to ability presenting a variety of views to students as well as teaching English. I can't guarenteed that I can achieve it, but I'll do my best.

◦ What language areas do you think you particularly want work on to be a well qualified English teacher?
◦ Stundents these days tend to really care their English teacher's pronunciation. They seem to believe that English teachers should pronounce just like a native speakers of English. What do you think about this belief? How would you react to this attitude (belief)?
I chose second question.
I really cared my English teacher's pronunciation, too. If pronouncing like a native, the teacher seems to have more English ability and be a competent teacher. It's true. But English teacher in Korea is Korean and can't have perfect pronunciation like a native unless studying abroad at an early age. (In linguistics, they say generally that if you start to learn any language after adolescence, after maybe 12 or 13 years of age, then you’ll never be able to pronounce it exactly like a native speaker. )
As teacher Giving a lecture in English, It's enough to be recognize as a English teacher having sufficient qualifications. Most of all, I think pronunciation is just a factor of teaching English.
If Only concerning about pronunciation, native speakers are must taken on as a teacher. Because teachers are teaching non-native English speaking students English, native speakers' teaching skills are probably limited.
Of course, teachers must try to improve their pronunciation to be like a native. Though not having perfectly nature pronunciation, appearing confident at class is very important. Teachers teaching students with passion, students are must satisfied a class and take part in a class with enthusiasm.
