High School should include physical education in their curriculum because there are many benefits for students who taking a physical education. Though focusing only on academic subjects in high school looks effective, actually it is not. According to Mr. William Dietz, who is the Director of the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity at the CDC(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), Partaking in physical activity will increase effectiveness, productivity at work and the ability to study well. Also a new study suggests physical education program comes in useful to study because it makes brain cells more active about 20%.
These day, high school students have substantial amounts of stress due to curriculum, homework, part-time jobs, families and peer pressures. Involvement in sports, recreational activities or other forms of physical fitness offer a method of stress relief, which makes students concentrate on their study with a fresh mind.
Also, the participation in physical education in high school provides a positive influence on a student's personality, character and self-esteem. In addition, the team-building process through physical education program enhances communication skills, and the skills required to get along and cooperate with students of varying personalities. Since excessive competition in entrance examinations has destroyed students' relationship, physical activities such as an athletic meeting can be an opportunities to bond with classmates and to encourage each other to study hard together.
Physical education in high school is essential to the development of motor skills and the enhancement of reflexes. Hand-eye coordination is improved, as well as good body movements, which helps in the development of a healthy body posture. Beyond an adolescent period, athletic ability has a tendency to fall, so high school students should exercise regularly to keep their healthy body posture for longer.

Although Education is a far-sighted national program, our education system is overly weighted toward college admission. We ought not to forget the purpose of education. If High schools don't include physical education but focus only on academic subject, students won't grow into a man of knowledge and virtue as well as will be bored with their school life.
